Y6D met Claire, and took a look at two pieces of her artwork.  She used layers of plastic to make the drawing look like it goes into the distance and repeated drawings of people to make it look really busy.  The class decided that these drawings were of a school corridor.

Ideas about people in action
- What will we do in the future?
- What sports will we play?
- Can we combine two actions to make a more interesting sport?

Some of our ideas...

...which we combined in our drawings.  How about swimming rounders or cycling hockey?

Using photographs and the drawings, we drew onto plastic sheets with paint markers.  By repeating an image we created action and movement.

Some areas were coloured in and a suitable coloured background was chosen.  Some cut out shapes were added to the background for detail, and some of the work was put into windows using picture frames donated by parents.

We then placed our drawings under a large sheet of perspex and re-drew them.  When we are finished we will have a large window, full of people in action.

River Media sent a film crew to document our first meeting. We discussed what we would like to do for the Generation 21 project. We thought we would turn the tables and photograph them discussing what they were going to do as well. River Media will be filming us on a regular basis as they document what we do over the coming months.
